NEW YORK ACADEMY OF SCIENCES ARTICLE

Gene doping is a devious way athletes can enhance performance by using therapeutic approaches intended to treat disease. For this science/health article written for the New York Academy of Sciences, I interviewed representatives of the world and US anti-doping associations, along with researchers in gene therapy and administrators at drug test laboratories. The result is an article so comprehensive that NPR asked me for an interview to discuss how gene doping might impact athletes in the upcoming Olympics and other world-class events.
