GENERAL ELECTRIC

"GE is building the playbook for the new digital industrial world," proclaimed Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Immelt in 2015. He added, “As GE transforms itself to become the world’s premier digital industrial company, this will provide GE’s customers with the best industrial solutions and the software needed to solve real world problems.”

So far, so good — but despite boundless in-house manufacturing expertise developed over decades, GE didn't have content available for its prospective digital customers.

So we created some, starting with heavy industry. After a few in-depth interviews with manufacturing guru Paul Boris, veteran Vic Kingery, and SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Andy Henderson, along with some frantic scribbling, we had three solid pieces to help heavy industry players know how a digital industrial would look, who should be on the team, and what they could do to get started.
